The Rest of the Adventure

Saturday was one busy busy day! We started off by visiting Uncle Wally at the Country Market. Mom bought some Watkins bug repellent, can't wait for warmer weather now! We also picked up some delicious perogies.

After that we headed to the Holland Bakery, boy did that place smell yummy! We were hoping to get some persians, but they were out, next time mom will have to call ahead! We did stock up on some cinnamon twists and buns! I can't wait to go back there, the nice ladies gave me a cookie!

Our next stop was at the Persian Man, where we found the Persians! Persians are a yummy fried cinnamon roll with yummy strawberry icing, something that you can only find in Thunder bay!

We went home for a bit and took a snooze, all that food wore me out!

Once we woke up, we took a ride to Uncle Marty's barn to see the cows. Opa took me into the pen with the calves, kinda freaky. Then there were a bunch of bigger calves laying in a row,I thought they were in time out:)
I got to help Letty sit on an big bale,I tried to be a brave big cousin.
While we were in the barn, my older cousin, Jaxson, wheeled around and around on his quad, opa said that in a few years I might be able to drive it!
Before we went on to our next adventure, I had to sit in the bus' drivers seat!

Up next included more food! We went to the Stanley, a bar with yummy burgers, mom and dad and Uncle Tim came with me in our car. I think they all had a beef hangover on the way none! Aunty Alieneke and Uncle Neil and cousins Cory, Melissa, and Natalie met us there too!

The next day was Easter Sunday. We had to say good bye to Letty, Aunty Miranda, Uncle Tim, Aunty Alieneke, Uncle Neil, Cory,Melissa and Natalie. I was pretty bummed about it. I hope I can see them again soon!

To get me out of my funk, mom and dad took me to play with my buddies, Kaleb and Mason.  We had fun, we all took turns pushing each other around! I tried sneaking in extra turns but they caught on!

Now we are travelling home. We are all more than ready. I took a teeny tiny nap under my blankie....I feel that mom wants me to nap again.

PS.sorry about the previous typos.... mom's phone's screen is cracked so she isn't catching alllllll the auto corrects.... well it actually seems that she didn't catch any....

Always an Adventure....

We all trekked to Thunder Bay this weekend to help Opa celebrate his 65th birthday! All my Aunties, Uncles and cousins from mom's side are here....it's kind of crazy at times,but life isn't an adventure without a bit of crazzzzy going on!

This morning we went to church,and I attempted to sit with mom and dad, but soon realized I'd rather play with my cousins instead....so to the nursery I went. After church I gave dad the slip and decided to DJ a bit with the church's sound system, kinda fun,but mom didn't agree.

Everyone came to Omas and we played,  my favorite thing to do was help Bryden comb Lettys hair....I want a sister, I need to write a letter to the stork I guess.

Of course all the ladies thought a grand kid photo shoot was necessary... oi, the chaos. I wasn't too hot on the idea,so I said I'd only do it if I could sit on the unicorn....what a rebel I am.

This evening I was hiding from Opa under a quilted table runner....I thought I was pretttty funny.

But off to bed I go,we are hoping to get some tbay staples in tomorrow: Persians and a Stanley Burger. Life.Is.Good

Season Opener

I love spring. It means that my favorite hot dog joint is open! We ventured out to LeMars this weekend for a Bob Dog.Best.Hotdogs.Ever.

I opted for my mini corn dogs....Dad,well,he did the usual Bob dogs with everything and then some on them!

Dad got cowboy boots this weekend, or how I prefer to call them, cow boots....

So I thought I would get into the western spirit while I read about cows.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

When I was young I loved to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider and how it went up the water spout. Wow, I was naive back then, have you ever seen a spider before? They are not as itsy bitsy as I thought and are found in other places than just water spouts.... Like in my bedroom.... As I am trying to take a Sunday afternoon nap.
It was horrifying. Creepy. Freaky. I still shudder at the thought of sharing my room with a spider.
Luckily dad came to the rescue and SQUISHED it with his muscles!!
I just hope that spider doesn't have any family members hanging out yet!!!

I have been too busy playing with Oma and Opa to tell you all that they made it here, safe and sound! I will post about our weekend soon!

Get Your Act Together MA!

So in T-minus 6 days or so, my Oma and Opa are coming to visit...on one condition:

That the kind citizens of Massachusetts gets their bottoms in gear and clear the snow so my Oma can get home....and then come here to Iowa!

 

Letty- I know you prayed for this storm so you can have more Oma time, but come on, learn to share, ok? 

 

I am a little antsy, as you can tell, but I haven't seen them in a while.  I have been reading all my farmer books, which shows Opa driving the tractor, feeding the cows, and all that other stuff Opa does on the farm :)

 

I am even trying to memorize Paul Harvey's "So God Made a Farmer" Speech to really earn brownie points.

 

Why must I earn these so called brownie points, you ask?  Well I fully intend on crawling into bed with Oma and Opa every night while they are here.  This is the first time they have visited when I was not held hostage in a crib.  I also intend on standing by their bed, waiting for them to notice that Billingsworth and I are waiting for them to WAKE UP!

 

I have also been preparing for their visit by working on my animal knowledge.  I feel that to best educate myself, I must surround myself with animals at all times, especially at night.  Last night, for example, I shared my bed with 3 ducks, a bunny, a frog, a bear, a monkey, a moose, and a pig....it got kind of crowded :)

 

Well, Oma, if you ever get out of the east coast, safe travels!  Pick Opa up and boogie on over here! Can't wait to see you!

Convo Time

A little convo between me and mom while tucking me in for the night:

Kaydrian: Mama, where you' phone?
Mom: Downstairs
Kaydrian: Mama, where Franny' phone?
Mom: Franny doesn't have thumbs, she can't use a phone.
Kaydrian: Oh, where Franny' car?
Mom: Franny can't drive a car.
Kaydrian: Mama, where Franny pick-up?
Mom: Franny doesn't have a pick-up, daddy does
...and so on and so forth for another 5 minutes :)

Mom: Kaydrian, what's your last name?
Kaydrian: Judy!!
Mom: No, who's name is that?
Kaydrian: Mama's....
Mom: What's your last  name?
Kaydrian: Baby Ducky?
Mom: That doesn't sound right.
Kaydrian: Ummm...KOOISHHRA!!

10 days and going strong...

The saga continues...

 

I am still being chased by every adult around me asking me about my bowel and bladder 24/7...it's a wonder they allow me to sleep at night.  Who knew this potty training thing would get me so much attention.

 

Mom went out and got some new undies for me...today was not a great day in the world of training, so I am going to need them.  I just got to into what I was doing all afternoon that I forgot, and for some reason the adults forgot to ask since I had been just going myself when I had to.

 

I was good for Grandma and Grandpa this morning though :)

 

I failed when it was time to hang out at the shed with daddy...I was too busy cleaning tires and asking dad "Cow poop'd in trailer?"...over...and over...and over :)

So Mom, aka Judy, went and posted to the world that I am beginning the exciting venture of potty training. I will admit that my Thomas undies are pretty hip, and watch out ladies, you can't resist these whitie tighties....
I am doing pretty good at it I think, but it definitely cuts into my playing time.... I am also noticing some weight gain from all the cookies and treats I get after I successfully execute a BM in the potty. I have myself to blame, I was rationing how much I would go to get more treats out of the deal. Five times in 30 minutes... worked like a charm!
Mom, I will stop calling you Judy if you stop posting this stuff to the world... Thanks :-)

Well, the parents are asking me for the millionth time this hour if I need to pee, and I could use a cookie, so to the potty I go!

Did you know....

For the past few years Mom and Dad have been just that to me... My Mom and Dad... That's what I've hollered at them and they would respond.

Well, they've been keeping a secret from me... They actually answer to different names when everyone else talks... I thought I'd give it a try...

So tonight I said 'Goodnight Phil'.... And waited for the reaction... All mom and dad did was laugh, was it something I said? I don't recall them laughing when other people say it... I will have to work on that one!
