Daddy teased mommy and me that we haven't blogged in a while... I have a lot going on, so be ready!

What I need to talk about today is an amazing discovery I came across this morning...

So mom was getting ready for work, and dad was working... And I was struggling to gain consciousness in their bed. It's super comfy, don't be a hater.

As I awaken, I find something... It is a batman costume. What in the world... So I am curious and get right to the point with mom... 'MA, is daddy batman?'... Mom's response `yup'

Mind Blown....

That makes so much sense. He's gone all the time. I asked mom if he hauls cows, she said yeah. And that he is batman at night.

Mind Blown... Again

How cool that my dad beats up the bad guys with his mask on!!

Sunday Shenanigans

*Mom missed some things since she was not up close and personal during this situation, so after talking with dad, she's had to edit a few things...

 Last Sunday when I was visiting my Canadian family, I finally made it through an entire church service without going out to play in the nursery... Mom and dad didn't seem to have near as fun of a time as I did.

So this Sunday, mom and dad decided to try it again, but this time at our church. I was doing pretty good, I love sitting in church, mom keeps passing me candies to keep me from chatting.

I made it all the way through, however, there were a few bumps in the road.

The first bump was when mom thought I was old enough for the children's message. So dad took me to the front of the church. I was too nervous to sit by all the kids... Until....

Well, low and behold, my bestie from daycare, Alison, was sitting up there! She saw me and started to wave at me. And then she started blowing me kisses. Any man would be a fool to not go sit with her! But once I got up there I saw all this cool stuff... So Allison and I be lined it for the pulpit, then the drums, then all of a sudden Pastor Mike was there to make Allison sit down... I was still as free as a bird until I caught dad out of the corner of my eye!.

Finally dad ran after me and nabbed me. For some reason everyone was laughing, not sure why. Dad didn't trust me to stay put, so he sat and joined in on Children's worship in front of the church with the rest of us kiddos! Momma was laughing and had tears running down her face.

Once we settled back in our pew, I decided I wanted to play in the nursery. Mom's turn to bring me. Once I got there, I decided I changed my mind... So back to church I went.

All was going well, then I swallowed a mentos, whole. That wasn't much fun. But I took it like a man and didn't even need mom to pound on my back!

Once again, mom and dad were exhausted after the service, no clue why, I was hopped up on an entire roll of mentos!

My Happy Birthday!

Today it is My Happy Birthday!  And I am 3!!!

This has been a fun week so far, I even started to go to the preschool room! I'm such a big kid now!

Rallying In the Valley

This was a busy weekend for the citizens of Rock Valley, it was the annual fun and festivities of Rally in the Valley!

The fun started with water fights at the fire station! Fire fighters from around the area came to spray water at each other! Uncle Alex came from Sioux Center, he did great! It was a little loud at first, but then I got used to it. And on the way home I got to ride on Dad's shoulders.. Fun for me, not something much for Him!

Friday night I got to hang out with Molly, my favorite babysitter :-) It was cruise night, so we watched allllllll these cool cars pass by our house!

Saturday was a ton of fun! I got to dress up like a muscle man and be in the parade with Mom!!  I got to ride on the gator, we dressed up like we were from the '80s!
After that, I got to watch the rest of the parade with all my friends. Grandma helped me get a lot of candy!!!

Dad took me to the car show for a little bit while mom tried to scrape the blue eyeshadow off!  I loved seeing the cars!!!

Finally it was time to take a quick cat nap!!

I was raring to get going to the sports complex, there were bouncy houses! Mommy only let me in the little one, she was dreading having to come in after me if I got stuck! I bounced and bounced and bounced!!!!

I finally got bounced out and it was time to watch dad fight for the title of Wing King!!! He way against 9 other men.... It was an intense 11 minutes of hot wing eating! Dad took it very serious, he didn't win, but he sure ate a lot... And now is burping a lot ;-)

You would think that I would be too pooped to fit anything else in! But after recouping at the house and perusing mom's IKEA catalog.... We went to hang out with the VanEgdom boys! There was supposed to be fireworks, but Jesus was bowling in heaven, so that was a no go!

Finally!

Now, I am not announcing anything earth shattering like having to share myself room, but in myself world this is far more important!

For about the past three weeks I have been singing me favorite song around the house. I think I am quite the Frank Sinatra, but mom and dad couldn't figure out what song I was singing.

In my world it went a little something like this : Shark-a-doo do do do dooooo... Etc.
Well, dad finally had the brainiac idea to Google it... Finally!

Still Taking Care of Mommy

I tell you, being a nurse for mommy is tough. She needs a lot of cuddles from me, and kisses of course!

I am also in charge of making sure she has her phone, I take her temperature and help her put blistex on her lips!!  What would she do without me!

Owies

Mommy had a sore tummy, and she had to stay in the hospital for a few nights. I missed that crazy lady. I made her a card and gave her kisses when I went to see her. I made sure that everyone was taking good care of her. Then I gave her my advice, from experience : You'll get a sticker and are sucker and it's all better.

It must of worked because she came home tonight!

Life Lesson #3... This week

I have been quite adventurous this week. I knew that I discussed my popping a squat escapade yesterday. I forget to mention that I learned that dad is tough.

You see, dad in always spraying himself with yummy smelling perfume. He aims it at himself... And pow, he smells good.

I figured I'd give it a try. I used whatever dad left on the back of the toilet. One spritz towards my face and... Owwww...my eyes started to water and I decided that I am not man enough to wear cologne... It's so not worth the pain!!

Which then leads to life lesson #3 this week. It goes a little somethin like this:
I was on the playground, hanging with my buddies. We were shooting the breeze when we started to get goofy. I always love to pick my nose, so I decided I would do a little magic trick. So, when no one was looking, I hid a rock in my nose, planning on picking it out and getting a roaring applause.
Or course, it was a great idea in theory, but the reality is that I couldn't get it out.
Luckily I go to the best daycare ever, and it's a hop skip and a jump from the clinic, so off to urgent care we went!!

I sat there for a bit, with Tammy, and then mom came busting into the room. How embarrassing. I must admit that I was sort of happy to see her.

Dr.Post helped me get the rock out of my nose, it was no day at the beach, but we got it done. The doctor stuck a thin tube up my nose and on the end was a balloon. He stuck the tube up past the rock, then put air in the balloon, pulled down and out slid the rock. And I mean slid... It was slimy! Worked like a charm!

Or course I am going to hear about this all week long... I am going to tune out mom's lectures of what I am allowed to stick up my nose. It's a short list.

Happy birthday big guy!

Today was my dad's birthday! Happy birthday to you!

Along with his birthday came a day of life lessons.

The major one is in regards to appropriate backyard behavior.

A few weeks back I couldn't make it to the potty. The tree looked thirsty. You do the math.

Well. This evening I couldn't make it to the potty. The lawn needed to be fertilized. You do the math.

After doing the math, imagine mom and dad freaking out. The clean up included a garden hose aimed at my bottom.

Life lesson learned : Boys and puppies pee outside.  It's not cool for boys or girls to pop a squat in the back yard.... Or in the front yard.

Tunnel Yellin

On our trip to Canana, mom and dad introduced me to Tunnel Yellin... Which is exactly what it sounds like... Whenever you drive under a tunnel you yell until you have driven through.

They taught me this when we were going through Duluth, which if you have ever been there you know there are quite a few.

I decided to continue this tradition on the way home too.

The problem is that my definition of a tunnel includes overpasses... So guess who will be yelling every time we pass an overpass.... This guy!

Mommy keeps saying that this is the longest 10 hours of her life... I don't know what she's talking about :-)

Here's a day just for you. I realize that I forgot to give you a card... Or a gift... So I will give you an IOU.
I love you for everything you do for me, mommy and franny!
I am sorry that I didn't give you the whole day off from taking care of me, but I love when you get me my juice, help me to get on the potty, and nap with me!

Off to Canana!

That's no typo... That's how I prefer to pronounce it.... But I made it out of the attic and into the car.
We were all buckled in.... About to leave..... And... We realized we forgot our passports! That would have really sucked to realize at the junction of i-35... Perhaps that's the plot for Home Alone 17

Learning from Kevin

I am certain many of you recall a movie called 'Home Alone'.... Well, my household resembles that movie at this moment, except I don't have a bully of a brother named Buzz or an uncle named Frank... Unless aunt Emmie is not telling us something...
Mom and dad are frantically trying to get our things together for a trip to Canada to visit our family from the north! In all honesty, dad is doing most of the frantic running around as mom does her nails... She'll be frantic in the am, trust me.
So here I am, all alone upstairs, expected to sleep.  I know how this works, everyone will sleep in. Everything will be loaded in the vehicle, franny and my bike included. And I will be sawing logs in bed. They won't realize that they forgot me until I-35...when it would be the time for me to complain about having to poop.
Not happening people. I am going to stay awake all night long. I am refuse to miss out on a trip to a foreign country!
I will stay awake by....singing my ABCs.... zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Mom picked me up today because I threw up at daycare. It's been a lazy day of cuddling and napping with Mommy.

Partying with my Besties

This weekend I got to hang out with Lily and Jacob for Lily's 1st birthday party. It was so cool. There was a ton of great food and fun things to do.

But then came the greatest. thing. ever. Lily's dad went and gave us rides in the fire truck!!!! How cool is that! I wonder if Lily can have a birthday party every weekend!!

A Day Away

Yesterday we all packed up and went to Willmar, MN for the day. Dad's cousin, Jackie, was having a party. Party =good food, so I was all in!!

It wasn't a long drive, about a movie and a half long.

Once we got there we saw Grandma and Grandpa, and there were a lot more people there too! Aunt Karen and Uncle Les took a BIG airplane to get there... That made me nervous. Of course I had to interrogate them about Hank... Luckily they had plenty of photos to show me! They even found me a liddle Hank! I love him.
All of Grandpa's brothers and sister were there! There were a lot of kids too... It was a lot of fun!! I loved the little babies... But I didn't think it was so cool when Grandma held them.

The party was in the fire station! Uncle Gawin showed me the fire trucks, so cool.

After all the partying and ice cream we went to hang out at the pool! I loved the little warm pool... It had bubbles!!

I was super pooped on the way home... It took about 4 miles for me to fall asleep!

Strength Training

I have decided to start training for the 2016 Olympics... Check out my pipes, I feel pretty confident in my chances at gold.
Mom says that I have to work on not wetting my Diegos... Apparently it's frowned upon in the Olympic Village to sport pull ups... Maybe I should get Pampers to be my sponsor, then I'd have to wear them!! There's always a loophole.

A happy belated Mother's Day mom!!!

Took the day off to CELEBRATE!!!

Today was a very important day for my Aunt Rachel and Uncle Alex and bff Lily, she was officially adopted! She gets to be my friend FOREVER!  God has answered many many prayers.

Mom dressed me up and we headed to the courthouse. Turns out that the judge pushed their turn up, so they were just finished as we walked in the door... Go figure, it takes 9 months to get this all figured out, but then push the hearing up 15 minutes :-) I am just glad it all happened and it's official.

We were able to hang out afterwards, it was great. I love Lily.

Mom took the rest of the day off work and I played hooky from daycare. We enjoyed the nice weather and I biked all the way to Whispering Heights to visit all the grandmas and grandpas, and of course the ducks and chickens!!

The Rest of the Adventure

Saturday was one busy busy day! We started off by visiting Uncle Wally at the Country Market. Mom bought some Watkins bug repellent, can't wait for warmer weather now! We also picked up some delicious perogies.

After that we headed to the Holland Bakery, boy did that place smell yummy! We were hoping to get some persians, but they were out, next time mom will have to call ahead! We did stock up on some cinnamon twists and buns! I can't wait to go back there, the nice ladies gave me a cookie!

Our next stop was at the Persian Man, where we found the Persians! Persians are a yummy fried cinnamon roll with yummy strawberry icing, something that you can only find in Thunder bay!

We went home for a bit and took a snooze, all that food wore me out!

Once we woke up, we took a ride to Uncle Marty's barn to see the cows. Opa took me into the pen with the calves, kinda freaky. Then there were a bunch of bigger calves laying in a row,I thought they were in time out:)
I got to help Letty sit on an big bale,I tried to be a brave big cousin.
While we were in the barn, my older cousin, Jaxson, wheeled around and around on his quad, opa said that in a few years I might be able to drive it!
Before we went on to our next adventure, I had to sit in the bus' drivers seat!

Up next included more food! We went to the Stanley, a bar with yummy burgers, mom and dad and Uncle Tim came with me in our car. I think they all had a beef hangover on the way none! Aunty Alieneke and Uncle Neil and cousins Cory, Melissa, and Natalie met us there too!

The next day was Easter Sunday. We had to say good bye to Letty, Aunty Miranda, Uncle Tim, Aunty Alieneke, Uncle Neil, Cory,Melissa and Natalie. I was pretty bummed about it. I hope I can see them again soon!

To get me out of my funk, mom and dad took me to play with my buddies, Kaleb and Mason.  We had fun, we all took turns pushing each other around! I tried sneaking in extra turns but they caught on!

Now we are travelling home. We are all more than ready. I took a teeny tiny nap under my blankie....I feel that mom wants me to nap again.
