{One more month to go People!}

This is me, Christmas morning!
I've got about a month of baking to do...then I should be prepared to meet you all!

{Merry Christmas}

I was so excited to wake up and see if Santa came for his milk and cookies! And guess what...he did!

I ran into mom and dad's room to tell them that Santa even left me a cookie!

I was so excited about the food that when mom asked if Santa left me any gifts, I had to go back and check! And yup- Santa pulled through and got me some stuff!

I even got a stocking! And with a bunch of socks and undies was a DVD with my fave show....Wild Kratts!

Dad got to open a bunch of presents too! But I noticed there wasn't anything for Mom under the tree...
I asked her and she said moms don't need presents...My response:
"you were naughty, weren't you...did you just get coal?"

I totally busted her!

We weren't able to go eat at Grandpa Pete and Grandma Lois' for Christmas dinner because Grandma Lois was in the hospital.  We went to visit her!

I got a hold of mom's camera...

Later when Grandma Lois was in her room- I played hide and seek with her :)

Hopefully she is up for us to come hang out at her house Sunday!

{Shh....}

So big Brother Kaydrian got spoiled this Christmas Eve...and I got a onesie..thanks Grandma!

But mom made it up to me!

She kept saying the cookies and milk were for some dude named Santa...but she let me help her enjoy them- but she said DON'T tell Kaydrian!

Since I can't talk or communicate in any way outside of the womb...her secret is safe with me!

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Here are some highlights of my Christmas Eve!

Today I got to hang out with dad ALL day- it was awesome!
Then we went to church for the Christmas Eve Service and I got to hold a candle...it was on fire! I wasn't very patient and kept inquiring when I could blow it out- because let's be honest- that's the best part!

After that we went to Grandma and Grandpa's to eat sugar and open gifts!

I was in charge of distributing gifts...

As much as I love books....

After we got home, we had to set out milk and cookies for Santa!

Can't wait to see what he brings tomorrow!

{Tis The Season}

We've been working hard at learning our Christmas songs for the church Christmas Pageant.
It alll came down to one day...which was today!
All of my Sunday school friends and I had to sing in front of a packed house! All the pews were FULL!

We had a few practices this week- which were...shall I say, eventful.  At the first one I wanted to stand with the big kids in the back- and by stand, I mean jump around...
The second practice included me watching the projection screen behind me the entire time...No time to sing!
So mom was quite nervous about what was going to happen today....

This picture sums up most of my 10 minutes in the spotlight...

I didn't sing much...it's all because of that dang bowtie mom made me wear! I thought people were laughing at me wearing it :(  Even though mom and dad swore it made me look handsome.

When I'm at home, I sing like a Meadow Lark- you'll just have to take my word for it!

After our songs, we got to go sit with our moms and dads again! And my mom and dad were  sitting with Grandma and Grandpa so I watched all the big kids sing their songs by them.

I did make a few observations- the biggest was that there were no camels- totally unfair.  I guess the church didn't budget for that this year- when I am in second grade and we're planning this thing, you better believe there will be camels!

Well I hope everyone's Christmas' are going well! I'll stay in touch before the holidays are over!

{Spoke too soon}

Baby K here....How embarrassing... Two days after my first ever post I am proven wrong! Well partially I guess!
We went to grab a few groceries...and low and behold, what did we find!? But a POMELO! At HyVee!! Aka how big I am this week!
Mom had no clue if it was from Florida tho...but it was sure my not from Iowa!
She also didn't know how to eat one...so we settled with Kaydrian posing with it!

{My girl Blue- Day TWO}

Blue put a serious wrench in Mom's morning plans...which generally involves a cup of coffee! But Blue was busy basking in a mug of marshmallows!

I have a feeling we are going to have to just deal with some of her shenanigans this Christmas season...I'll be reporting her to Santa if it gets out of hand.

On Tuesdays I have Story Hour at the Library- so mom and I swung through the Cappuccino Cabin on our way home!

It was truly the only right thing to do! You see, yesterday I had my 4 yr old check up! And I got 3....yes, I said THREE shots! I wanted to show those nurses that I was a big kid, so I asked to have them in my arms, not my thighs...and they complied!

On our walk home, I told mom that I was VERY CROSS with those ladies at the clinic...I thought shots tickled...and they definitely didn't!

Oh well- nothing a frappe can't fix :)

{The Arrival of BLUE!} Day One

'Tis the Season!

On Sunday night, as I was busy brushing my teeth like the good kid I am, mom said she heard a knock at the door! I let her get it...it's chilly out and I was in my undies :)

She said no one was there- but that someone dropped off a BOOK! In the mailbox! How awesome!  And I know it wasn't the mailman, he doesn't stop by on Sundays!

So once I was all tucked in, she began to read me the story about the Elf on the Shelf- it's about a special magical elf that will visit our house from Dec.1-24.  During the day she watches me and at night she uses her magical power to fly back to the North Pole and report back to Santa if I have been good or bad that day!
I am also NOT allowed to touch her, otherwise her magic will be gone and she won't be able to fly back to the North Pole!

Ohhh I was SO excited to wake up Monday morning!!

And what did I find? But Blue- the SAME elf that came last year- just a sitting in a nest! What a silly elf!

I did have some valid questions about this little  elf friend of mine....these questions included:
 "if she's real, then why isn't she blinking"
 "where's she going to go potty... She'll fall into our toilet"
 "can I show her our tree!?"
 "Is she coming to the Dr with us today?"
"Why is she sitting in the nest and not on the shelf"
 "is Santa allowed to touch her?"

Turns out she didn't have to pee...so luckily we didn't have to find that one out!

Let's see where is is tomorrow!

{Baby K here...}

OK- so since my big brother finally announced that I exist- I felt that I can publish my first ever blog post! I have been baking for about 32 weeks now! According to mom's app...I am the size of  a Florida Pomelo...whatever that is! I have never been to Florida so how would I know?
All I know is that it's getting a little cramped in here lately! I move and wiggle A LOT- and I hear mom complaining...but let's get real, she's not the one cramped in these small quarters!

Here are a few snaps of how I am growing!

20 weeks!

All four of us in Washington this summer!

24 weeks...of course Big Brother had to photobomb this- he's already stealing my thunder!

Kaydrian showing off his tummy...gaining some sympathy weight there?

OK- so he does love me :)

28 weeks!

{Almost} 32 weeks!

Mom takes me to the doctor next week again!  I keep growing and my heart rate is around the mid 130's!  We'll keep you posted!

Learning to S-H-A-R-E

Well I suppose I never really officially announced this on my blog- but my life is about to drastically change...I am about to become a BIG BROTHER!

It was about time! Most of my bff's have become big brothers or sisters...so I think it's my time to shine now!

So as you can see- mom decided to change the name of the blog- so you'll be seeing some posts from my sibling as well- that's where this "sharing" concept has begun.

Mom & Dad aren't finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl- but I am sure it's a boy! They ask me a lot what we should name it...Lately it's been Hoper or Margaret.

I am excited for the baby to come home.  I told mom that if the baby cries at night, I'll just bring the baby downstairs and get it some milk from the fridge- easy peasy! For some reason mom wasn't so hot with that idea- I keep getting lectures about how I am not allowed to pick up the baby until it's much bigger....we'll see if I remember that or not!

{ Birthday Boy }

Today Kaydrian turns 4! It's hard to believe how much he's grown and  learned since the day he was born!

My calling in life :To humble the parents

Yowzers, it has been far too long since I've blogged! I promise to improve...

I have been up to so much that going back to recall it all may take all night... So a few tidbits here and there will have to do!

-went to Canada for Christmas, Santa found me there, glad his gps was working.
-hung out with Aunt Emily after Xmas... Of course I got the tummy flu, it's tradition now.

-watched my first hockey game... Even got a hockey stick afterwards! I am going to enroll in lessons next fall.

-watched Canada dominate on the traditional Canadian sports during the Olympics. Curling and of course hockey. And of course cheered on the USA at the billion medals they got. I have the best of both worlds!

-I have an obsession with the Lion King, memorized the best parts of it. Mom busted me talking to Franny, 'Don't turn your back on me, Fran'.....

-In order to get me off my Lion King kick, mom bought me Frozen... So I am now on a frozen kick. I love the songs and Olaf.

And to get to topic of today... Humbling thy parents.
I decided that maybe sitting in church would be a cool thing to do. I started a few months back.
I also learned about this thing called 'children's worship'. It's when all the kids hoard to the front of church and listen to the minister or Tacey's grandma tell a story.
The first time mom nudged dad to take me up there I was hesitant. But once I got up there, low and behold, my bff Allison is there, calling me to sit with her. We always have so much fun at daycare, so we figured we would play... Apparently once you make a b-line for the drums, dads and pastors step in. I see what mom did there... She saw this coming... Smart lady.

I didn't see mom nudge dad to bring me up there the next Sunday. Last week they must have gotten brave and tried it again. Dad brought me up, I did what I was told, kind of boring but the parents were beaming with pride.

So this week, I went up there, all by myself... Parents were beaming with pride once again. I was peer pressured by this cute girl to pray like it was going out of style. It all went well. Mom looked pretty smug about it all.

So I decided that I am three and that I behaved enough for one day. I was intrigued by the empty pews behind us. So I slowly walked out of ours, mom was looking but didn't think I had it in me.... So under the ropes I went.

Yikes, she got up and did this crazy awkward whisper yell, her face was yelling but I couldn't hear her.... She couldn't bribe me with candy, I had already inhaled it all!!

After a while of struggling how to get me without me causing more ruckus, mom got smart and threatened to take me to the back room for a discussion... So I compromised and went to the nursery. Madden was there and we shingled the roof of the play house.

So we'll see what I decide to do next week. I get to go to Addy and Lily's church because Addy is going to be baptized... Mom said I better behave on no cake for me!!
