My Weekend Away

Mom and dad went to a wedding out in California, so I got to get away too! I went half way across town and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa.

Boy did they keep me busy!

We did all sorts of fun activities.

I started every morning catching up on the news with Grandpa by reading this thing called the newspaper.  Mom doesn't have those around the house.  She usually talks about what was on the Today show and Facebook.

I chowed down on some toys.

I drooled a bit too.

I spent some time in the exersaucer, loved every minute of it!

Grandpa let me do my tummy time on his tummy! I'm so spoiled.

Grandma & Grandpa had visitors, Stan & Nancy Speer, so I stole the show and entertained them while they were there.  They were a pretty good time!  Can't wait to hang out with them again!

Grandma read me interesting story books before bed.

And I had one of my firsts there too.....

I watched my first Super Bowl!  It was quite the game.

I'm trying to convince the parents to leave again so I can go back!

Cereal Experience

Mom decided that since I am 16 weeks today that I needed to try this thing called cereal.  I was pretty excited, those kids on the Cheerio commercials seem to LOVE it!  Mom read up on some literature about how to convince me this will taste great.

Step One:

                                                                     Get to know the spoon....

Step Three: Decide if I like it

...which I didn't

Mom says she'll try again some other time...I'll be ready for her!

Lately everything has been going just peachy....then mom had to rock the boat....

I LOVE bath time, until mom tried to get me to use a new bath chair.

Lately's...

Not too much is new with me these days.  I pretty much go to Day Care and hang with all my friends, then I get to hang out with mom-which isn't always so fun.  I have to do my homework every evening, which is Tummy Time.  She says it'll help me roll over and crawl quicker, which is freedom for me, so I suppose I'll listen to her!

My Stats

So I got to go see Dr. Greene this week.  The nurse took my measurements to see where I stand

weight: 16lbs aka 96th percentile
height: 26 inches aka 95th percentile

I think I'm pretty ahead of schedule! Of course I flirted with Dr.Greene and coo'd away...I'm quite the charmer! The doctor did I say I need more tummy time though..booo I never enjoy that!  Maybe if mom would put me in front of the tv like dad does I'll have more motivation! I'll have to tell her that.

Ringing in the New Year Up North!

My apologies everyone! It has been too long since I have put up something new.  I have just been TOO busy.  Mom and dad surprised me and took me on my first road trip! We started the journey Wednesday afternoon.

Ohh I was so excited to go to my Home and Native Land...I could barely contain myself!

And here we are!  Getting in was a sinch.  And boy will I not mess with this country...this is the welcome sign! These Canadians mean business!

So mom forgot a few necessities, soooo we had to stop off at the mall our first day in Thunder Bay.  I knew Canadians loved Tim Hortons, but check out this line!  They must of had great customer service because the line just kept growing and not one person grumbled!

 When we got home from the mall dad wanted to nap.  He was up late and drove through the evening to get us to Oma and Opa's safe and sound.  I was bright eyed and bushy tailed because I slept while they shopped.  So mom and I spent some quality time together!

First up was the necessary Tummy Time, which I still don't have the hang of quite yet.

Then mom let me hang out in my Bumbo and watch some TV

Mom got me addicted to Days of Our Lives...help!

Then me and mom went through some pictures Oma had laying around.  Mom was prepping me for my visits with my cousins! (Although I do have another outfit on, this was the same afternoon...the Bumbo made my poop go places its never been before...dad was smart to nap!)

While everyone ate supper, I got to sit in Oma's exersaucer.  Eli likes this too, and he's bigger than me, so good thing he wasn't over, it wouldn't have been pretty.


The next day (Friday) I got to go visiting alll my Thunder Bay cousins!

Here's Ashlyn.  We got some quality time in while the parents talked shop.  She's pretty strong to hold me all that time.  The present in my diaper must have been too much to handle, because then she passed me back to mom.

Next up was a visit to Uncle Walter's and Aunty Joanne's.  Here is Jas and Silas!

 On Saturday all my cousins stopped by Oma and Opa's for New Years.  Oma and Opa had babysat me while mom and dad went out with friends.

Then Eli took his turn to charm the crowds...Bryden napped the whole time, we tried to poke her awake, but nothing worked

Hanging out wtih Aunty Kristen and Kaleb!  He's a pretty cool cat....I hope we can be bff's one day!

Had to get a bit of Iowa in....watched American Pickers with mom and dad!

What a whirlwind of a weekend...and it's not even over yet! 

On Friday evening we went to church, which I did not document, and then to Grandpa and Grandma's to open presents!

But first....Aunty Shannon & Aunty Rachel stopped by to hand out & catch up with mom before all the evening activities!
