Wednesday Thanks

Today I am thankful for food. I love food. I could eat all day. Tonight I ate more spaghetti than dad.

Mom says some kids don't get food when they want it, that made me feel sad. I will not stop giving Fran my leftovers though :-)

Tuesday Thanks...

Today I am thankful for all the ladies in my life! Like Mama, Gamma, Gamma Lois, Oma, Emmy, Randa, Baby Letty, Rachel, Lily, Hannah, Anna, Shannon x2, Amy, Tammy, Harper, Molly.... And my list goes onnnnnn and onnnnnn. Love all the ladies in my life, I couldn't remember everyone, but if you are a lady, chances are I'm your biggest fan

Never too late to jump on the bandwagon!

This Thursday is American Thanksgiving...I already got to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with my family north of the border, eh.

So, like the masses on facebook, I thought I would start posting things I am thankful for. I only have 2 years under my belt, I figured I'd run out of things if I started Nov. 1.

Anyways, today I am thankful for : Franny, Reese, Hank, ducks, bunny, moose. (Direct quote)

Goldilocks

I am 2, so that means that I want whatever everyone else has.... You know, toys, food, clothes and what have you.

I don't think mom and dad were totally prepared for this stage in life.

As many of you know, I am a man sleeping in a man's bed. (Mom tried using that term 'big boy bed', which I shot down asap... I have a reputation to keep ya know.) Anyhow, these past weeks have been a blast, I can get out of bed and just chill on the stairs and listen to mom and dad's conversations... Must admit, they are pretty boring. Then mom and dad take turns trying to convince me to go to sleep... When they pull out the big guns and say I can't go to Gramma and Gampas house or that Shannon won't be at daycare, I know they are serious.... And I retreat.

The other night, I was yelling for mom and dad, just to ask them 'What y' doing? ', like any toddler would do. They yelled at me to get into bed... Soooo I did.

Later that night, mom went into her room, flicked on the light and was going to put laundry away, when out of the corner of her eye she spotted two things: 1. A dinosaur 2. Billingsworth.... She did a quick double take, and sure enough, I pulled a Goldilocks and was sleeping in Papa and Mama bears bed. I thought she was going to pee her pants I scared her so much.

In my defense, they did not clarify WHICH bed I had to sleep in... Let's see what I can take over next!

Latest stats

Ok, so I am not a fan of telling the world my detailed information, but mom insists that she will never remember if I don't post it somewhere permanently.... That lady needs to work on her memory, I've already got her on the list at Whispering Heights... But don't tell her :-)
So at my 2 year old check up I am 39 inches tall, I prefer saying 3'3''....And 38.6 lbs.... So my stats make me just about a square :-)
The doctor had mom fill out a form about my development, I had to name all these things like a meow, puppy, horse, chicken, and there was a man who I thought looked like Grandpa Pete...

Trick or Treat begins....

As much as I love treats, I must admit that tricking has its perks.

I now know how to really freak out the parents! The other evening, I waited until mom thought dad was watching me, and dad thought mom was watching me... Then I sprinted into the bathroom. I waited until I heard them looking for me... Then I flushed the toilet as they walked in.... And they freaked...

Why, you might ask? What I failed to mention is that prior to sprinting to the bathroom I took off all my clothes, diaper included, so at this point I got them to both think I flushed my 'nowhere to be seen' diaper down the royal thrown.

It was quite priceless, and I loved how they asked me if I did it, over and over... of course I said, ah huh. I sat grinning on my potty, naked as a Jay bird...

Finally they had the sense to search a little and found the evidence ... No fun eh! They caught on to my trickery... Lets see what I can plan next!

One, two, buckle my shoe....

I actually don't have a buckle on my shoe, usually laces, but I do have a buckle in my carseat, the airplane and in every shopping cart.... And I will tell you about the buckle the entire time I am around one.... Mom loves that topic of conversation.

Yes sir, it is official, I am 2! That comes after 1, ya know! It's pretty handy that I can only count to 2....I have 365 days to learn my next number, it's important to set goals eh.

I had a great day. I got to hang out with all my besties today at daycare, and we got cake. I love cake!!!

The rest of the evening was spent with mom doing groceries in the pouring rain.... She looked like a drowned rat after our stop in Walmart. I was too busy talking about my buckle to help her load the car. Plus it's my birthday.... It's all about me.

Yesterday I got to go on my first field trip ever.... And it was to Pumpkin land, and they had a goat! Speaking of goat, I asked Oma on the phone today about the top goat with the tail I spotted my cousin chewing on.... When I was visiting a few weekends back I was quite concerned about it. But Oma said that the goat was fine! What a relief!
Back to my field trip... I also got to take a pumpkin home. It's awesome. I will post a picture of it later.

Well, need to rest up for my big barn yard bash this weekend, toodaloo!

The things I do for Ice Cream...

Mom did it again.... She out smarted with the tempting lure of ice cream!

The best part is that I got to see Aunty Rachel out of the deal too, winning!

The bad part was getting needles jabbed into my arms by these 4 ladies who tricked me into thinking that they were really sweet... I won't be forgetting about that trick any time soon!

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

Mom and I made the trek up north to celebrate with our fellow Canadians! I had a blast seeing all my cousins and meeting my newest cousin, Letty. She is Aunty Miranda (or how I prefer to pronounce as 'Randa')' s baby, and I love her. Mom asked me if I wanted a baby, but my response is still that I want a horse.

I also got to hang out with my buddy Kaleb and his little bro, Mason. We watched Mighty Machines and ate gold fish... Best way to spend my morning!

New Developments In my World...

Lately I've decided to take some initiative and learn some new things, and perhaps try new things, you know, whatever came my way.

Well, I learned a new animal called a 'howl, it says whoooo, hoooo... I think its pretty awesome.

I also decided to start calling Dad's mom by her name, you know, 'Gamma'... But there seems to be an awful lot of ladies with that name, it just so happens that every one of my friends have a 'Gamma', go figure. I have no clue how we'll keep them apart. Luckily mom's mom is Oma... Which I am taking a hiatus from saying, because I can.

Earlier this week my tummy started to turn once Mommy had me tucked in bed, then out of nowhere my tuna casserole showed up.... Not a pretty sight. But mom took the lead and got me cleaned up. After a long night of more stuff showing up out of nowhere I was starting to feel better. I did, however, discover this thing called the spare bedroom. Mommy and I slept there so she could take care of me and to contain my cooties... Well, this spare bedroom has a bed, a huge bed, and I. Loved. It.... So the next night I woke mommy up at 3am and said I was done in my crib... And she fell for it, so we cuddled for one more night. I had a game plan for tonight, and well, it sort of worked. I got mom to give me another chance in the big bed.... But this time she said she wasn't going to stay with me. I will admit that I was a little hesitant at first, but after yelling downstairs for a while I realized she wasn't going to leave me alone in the house, so I fell fast asleep... Hopefully they get the hint and move this bed into my room-its slightly more manly.

This week started off rocky but has turned around quite nicely!

Just kidding, there's more!

On Friday we headed north of the border! We got to hang out with mom's friends as they started to celebrate the pending nuptials of Jill and Kelwyn.
And guess what, the party was on a FARM! It doesn't get much better than that. I got to see my buddy Cameron, he came to mom and dad's wedding festivities too. There was also a puppy, who was a little less scary than Hank.

The Grand Voyage West...

Ok, so we are finally in Lynden, Washington! After a slight delay, which is a long story, but let's just say that a gate manager position may be opening up for US Airlines.... In case anyone is interested.

The trip went great. Mom and Dad let me eat a lot of lollipops... I got a bit tired of them as you can see in one of the pictures.

I also will post a picture of my new friend from Omaha, Kayse. She let me sit by her at the restaurant :-)

I would also like to give a shout out to the people who leave Bibles in the hotel... I caught up on my lessons.

Blast From the Past

Two weekends ago Oma and Opa came to visit me! I had so much fun. We went to the Pizza Ranch, which is Opas fave! Do you blame him? Where else can you get pizza, chicken, potatoes, salad and ice cream?

We also went to the zoo... I'll post random things, I am posting via an app mom got, so let's see how this works out!

If you see the picture of the giraffe, Opa is trying to lure it over with a cracker... Leave it to Opa! Mom says he used to do that when she was little, and it worked! Apparently American giraffes are better behaved than Canadian giraffes :-)

Watch Out Washington....

I am packed and ready to invade Aunty Karen & Uncle Les' house for the weekend! I am excited to see Aunty Emily and Hank! I also get to head north to Mom's home and native land to visit a bunch of my non biological aunts and uncles!!

We are currently enroute to Omaha for the night. We're almost there and are stopping for some grub with friends of Daddy's!

Hi, my name is ....

It's been a while since I've blogged- once again, the story of my life!

 

I've been busy this summer- mostly hanging out with my buddies at daycare.

 

This weekend Oma & Opa have come to visit!  They've only been here a short while but we've been having loads of fun!

 

 

It was my turn to pester Opa!

Opa pushed me on the swing...

....and it was awesome!!!

 

Can't wait to see what else this weekend has in store for me!
